Abstract

A saw includes a first circular member 12 mounted for rotation about a first axis 14 and a second circular member 16 mounted for rotation about a second axis 18. First axis 14 is spaced apart from second axis 18. An endless saw blade 20 which is looped around and frictionally engaged with first and second members 12, 16, has a first section 28 extending between the members on one side of the line which passes between first and second axes 14, 18 and also has a second section 30 which extends between the members on an opposed side of the line. Means 22 for moving at least a portion of first section 30 laterally relatively to the line, is claimed. Tension means 48 is for adjusting or maintaining tension in blade 20.
