Abstract

A stable aqueous slurry or suspension of avidin immobilized on an inert support material comprising 1) an immobilized avidin/inert support component 2) 1 - 50% by weight of a bulking agent selected from nonionic water soluble compounds, eg simple sugars. 3) 0.01 - 50% by weight of a protectant The composition is in lyophilized form and is used to improve avidin/biotin affinity.
