Abstract
Epoksy-silikat-nanokompositt fremstilt ved å dispergere en organisk modifisert leire av smektitt-type i en epoksyhar- piks sammen med diglysidyleter av bis- fenol A (DGEBA), herding i nærvær av "nadisk metylanhydrid" (NMA) og/eller benzyldimetylamin (BD^4A), og/eller bor- trifluoridmonoetylamin (BTFA) ved 100-200 °C. Det oppnås molekylær disper- sjon av det lagdelte silikat i den tverrbundne epoksymatriks, med smektitt- lag-åpninger på 100 A eller mer og epok- symatriksen fukter silikatoverflaten godt. Herdereaksjonen omfatter at de funksjonelle grupper av alkylammonium- ionene lokalisert i åpningene i den organisk modifiserte leire deltar i tverrbindingsreaksjonen. Polymernett- verket festes derved direkte til de molekylært dispergerte silikatlag. Nano- kompositten viser en bredere T^ ved svakt høyere temperaturer enn umodifi- serte epoksy. Den dynamiske lagrings- modul for nanokompositten er betydelig høyere i glassområdet og svært mye høyere i gummiplatåområdet enn slik modulus for det umodifiserte epoksy.
