Abstract

A seat is disclosed, in particular a seat upholstery (4) for public transport means. The seat upholstery (4) is retained in a bearing frame (2). The bearing frame consists of a bearing body (11) made of plastic foam (31), in particular cold moulded foam, of an anti-tearing protective layer (14) and of a lining element (10) made of a covering fabric (22). The bearing body (11) made of plastic foam (31) is secured by moulding or by means of an adhesive layer (25) to a liquid-tight sealing foil (21) secured by an adhesive layer (25) to the surface of an intermediate layer (13) opposite to the covering fabric (22).
