Abstract

Avfallsmateriale (16), spesielt soppel, blir under samtidig blanding transportert gjennom et fyringsrom (15) og behandlet med et gassformet oksydasjonsmiddel (26). Fyringsrommet (15) består av en dreierørovn (1). Avfallsmaterialet (16) blir påstrømt med det gassformede oksydasjonsmiddel, hvorved de flyktige, brennbare bestanddeler (27) av avfallsmaterialet (16) danner flammer (28) sammen med oksydasjonsmiddelet (26). Flammenes (28) strålingsvarme frigjør ytterligere, flyktige bestanddeler (27) av avfallsmaterialet (16). Avfallsmaterialet (16) som har blitt befridd for flyktige bestanddeler (27), blir vunnet som søppelkoks og de ubrente, flyktige bestanddeler (27) blir vunnet som brennbar gass. Varmebehandlingen i dreierørovnen (1) kan bli videreført ut over frigjøringen av flyktige stoffer.
