Abstract

Det blir beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for separering av bakterielle lipopolysakkarider (LPS) fra en protein- inneholdende oppløsning hvor LPS blir frigjort i oppløsningen ved anvendelse av minst ett passende oppløsende middel, og hvor oppløsningen blir bragt l kontakt med en glassoverflate hvoretter den LPS- belastede glassoverflaten blir separert fra den proteininneholdende oppløsningen. Videre kan LPS enkelt bli detektert fra en oppløsning som beskrevet ved konvensjonelle metoder, ved først å binde nevnte LPS til en glassoverflate på den ovenfor beskrevne måte.
