Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av myk- gjort polyvinylalkohol ved å blande polyvinylalkohol med en organisk myk- gjører og vann i en mengde som er util- strekkelig til å oppløse polyvinylalko- holen under normale betingelser, inn- befattende trinnene: i) preplastisering av polyvinylalkoholen ved en høyeste temperatur som ikke er høyere enn poly- vinylalkoholens mykningspunkt, slik at det dannes en preplastisert polyvinyl- alkohol som har et smeltepunkt under mykningspunktet for den anvendte poly- vinylalkohol, og ii) videre bearbeiding av den således fremstilte preplastiserte polyvinylalkohol ved en temperatur over polyvinylalkoholens smeltepunkt under slike skjærspenningsbetingelser og i en tidsperiode slik at det frembringes en hovedsakelig homogen smelte.
