Abstract

The present invention relates to coating compounds comprising hydroxyl-group-containing, possibly modified, polyester and/or hydroxyl-group-containing epoxy resin and/or hydroxyl-group-containing acrylate copolymer and a wetting agent which is reactive to hydroxyl groups and a lubricant, in which the lubricant is a wax paste D which contains: d1?) 3 to 30 % wt. of one or more polyolefine and/or substituted polyolefine waxes, d2?) 0 to 25 % wt. of one or more melamine formaldehyde resins, d3?) 5 to 40 % wt. of one or more acrylate resins with an OH number of 10 to 150 mgKOH/g and a mean molecular weight of 2000 to 7000, and d4?) 10 to 80 % wt. of one or more organic solvents, where the sum of the percentage weights of components d1? to d4? is 100 % wt. The invention also relates to the process for making this coating compound and to its use, especially for painting the outside of deep-drawn cans.
