Claims

1. 2. Device in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that the upper part (12) and the lower part (10) are each formed by an elongated body, which when joined together produces a lockable housing (14) with at least three outer side surfaces.

Device in accordance with claim 2, characterized in that said organs in the upper part (12) comprise at least one projecting male member (16) arranged for insertion into said at least one opening in the object's locking mechanism^), and that the male member (16) is introduced into a corresponding protruding female member (18) in the lower part (10).

4. Device in accordance with claims 2-3, characterized in that the upper part (12) comprises at least one locking device (20) to lock the upper part (12) and the lower part (10) together.

5. Device in accordance with claim 4, characterized in that the upper part (12) comprises a protruding rod (22) arranged for insertion into or between a corresponding locking slot (24), or locking eye, in the lower part (10).

6. Device in accordance with claim 5, characterized in that the housing (14) comprises at least one opening (26) arranged for the introduction of a padlock or the like, whereby said locking device (20) is locked by means of said padlock.

7. Device in accordance with claim 5, characterized in that said locking device (20) comprises an integrated locking mechanism which can be locked using a key.

8. Device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the housing (14) is arranged around a container's locking mechanism.

9. Device in accordance with claim 8, characterized in that the upper part (12) and/or the lower part (10) comprise recesses (28) designed to bear against the container's vertical locking strut.

10. Device in accordance with one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that the housing (14) is arranged around an outboard motor's locking mechanisms.
