Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse tilveiebringer multippel poly(vinyl butyral) sjikt medløper som kan anvendes i multiple glasssjikt paneltype applikasjoner som krever et høyt nivå av beskyttelse mot slag for eksempel ved anvendelse for beskyttelse i orkan eller anvendelse av glass motstandsdyktige mot kuler. Denne effekten blir oppnådd ved forming av poly(vinyl butyral) medløper som har et relativt stivt poly(vinyl butyral) indre sjikt anbrakt mellom to relativt myke ytre poly(vinyl butyral) sjikt, hvor stivhetsforskjellen blir oppnådd med en myknerdifferanse som blir oppnådd minst i vesentlige del ved en forskjell i gjenværende hydroksylinnhold blant poly(vinyl butyral) sjikt.
