Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for undersjøisk boring i hvilken en borestangsammenstilling blir satt inn i et borerør mens borerøret er låst til boreriggen og borerøret er koplet til borestangsammenstillingen på en slik måte at rotasjons- og slagenergien mottatt av borestangsammenstillingen fra borehammeren er overførbar til borerøret. Videre senkes en borekrone festet til borestangsammenstillingen og en ringkrone festet til borerøret og boreriggen til havbunnen, låsingen mellom borerøret og boreriggen åpnes og borehammeren slås på for å begynne boringen ved hjelp av borekronen installert ved den nedre enden av borestangsammenstillingen og ringkronen installert på nedre enden av borerøret. Boringen fortsetter til borerøret når en forhåndsbestemt dybde ned i havbunnen, hvoretter borehammeren slås av, borerøret låses til boreriggen på en slik måte at rotasjon og dens bevegelse i forhold til boreriggen hindres, og koplingen mellom borestangsammenstillingen og borerør frigjøres. Borehammeren blir da slått på igjen og boringen fortsetter til den ønskede dybden ved hjelp av borestangsammenstillingen og borekronen.
