Oppfinnelsen angår identifikasjon av potensielle biomarkører og legemiddelmål i hjerneplastisitet relaterte forstyrrelser. In particular, the invention discloses a system level model for brain plasticity-related disorders in the banana fly Drosophila melanogaster, thereby identifying potential biomarkers and drug targets in epileptogenesis and associated conditions. The invention also provides a means for screening therapeutic agents against epilepsy and related disorders using gene expression profiling in Drosophila.
