Abstract
Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av hydrokinon som er fri for urenhetene som resulterer fra dens fremgangsmåte for fremstilling. Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av renset hydrokinon fra et råhydrokinon hovedsakelig inneholdende hydrokinon og små mengder av urenheter inkluderende minst resorcinol, pyrogallol og spor av pyrokatekol er kjennetegnet ved at den omfatter minst de følgende trinn: oppløsning av rå-hydrokinonet i vann, krystallisering av hydrokinonet, separering av rensede hydrokinon, og, eventuelt, et trinn med tørking av det rensede hydrokinon. Fremgangsmåten i henhold til oppfinnelsen kan inkludere andre trinn, og avhengig av de valgte utførelsesformer, som kan inkludere en forskjellig rekkefølge av trinnene, er det mulig å oppnå hydrokinon i ulike renhetsgrader.
