Det beskrives også en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av slike biosensorer.A biosensor for measuring analyte in a fluid is described, which biosensor comprises a substrate layer in which at least one electrode, a cathode, an anode and a new spacer material are arranged. The spacer material according to the invention comprises a heat-sealable organic layer which covers at least a part of the anode and determines at least one edge of the anode. The spacer material has a punched hole and limits a cavity or well for receiving chemistry. A method of making such biosensors is also described.
