Abstract
Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår området medisin og spesielt utviklingen av en farmasøytisk sammensetning inneholdende NMB0606-proteinet. Sammensetningen ifølge foreliggende oppfinnelse gir beskyttelse mot forskjellige sykdommer som kan eller ikke kan være forårsaket av patogener. NMB0606-protein ble identifisert som en komponent av Neisseria meningitidis yttermenbranvesikkel (OMV) preparater og den ble oppnådd ved å bruke rekombinant deoksyribonukleinsyre (DNA) -teknologi. Dens immunogenitet og beskyttende aktivitet ble evaluert i dyremodeller. Grunnet det høye konserveringsnivå av genet som koder for NMB0606-proteinet, er sammensetningen omfattende dette av stor verdi som et antigen som induserer en bred reaktiv immunrespons. Sammensetningen ifølge foreliggende oppfinnelse kan anvendes innen humanmedisin.
