Abstract
Den samlede virkningsgraden av et motstrømsreaktorsystem med regenerativt felt er øket der hvor plasseringen av den eksotermiske reaksjonen som brukes for regenerering er regulert på en passende måte. Nærværende oppfinnelse skaffer en fremgangsmåte og innretning for å regulere forbrenningen for å forbedre den termiske virkningsgraden av feltregenerering i en syklisk reaksjon/regenereringsprosess. Prosessen for termisk regenerering av et regenerativt reaktorfelt innebærer (a) tilførsel av den første reaktanten gjennom en første kanalinnretning i et første regenerativt felt og tilførsel av minst én annen reaktant gjennom en andre kanalinnretning i det første regenerative feltet, (b) kombinering av nevnte første og andre reaktanter ved gassblandingsmidler plassert ved en utgang for første regenerative felt og reagering av den kombinerte gassen for å danne et oppvarmet reaksjonsprodukt, (c) sending av det oppvarmede reaksjonsproduktet gjennom et andre regenerativt felt og derved overføre varme fra reaksjonsproduktet til det andre regenerative feltet.
