Abstract
I nærvær av visse polyoler bor-tverrbindes en guargummi eller lignende polysakkarid fortykningsmiddeloppløsning før oppnåelse av fullstendig hydratisering av fortykningsmiddelet, uten at viskositetsnivået oppnådd i et fraktureringsfluid ved den tid dette pumpes inn i brønnhullet og frakturerer undergrunnsformasjonen inntil borehullet settes i fare. Kontinuerlige metoder involverer hydratisering av et polysakkarid fortykningsmiddel i en grad på 10 % til 75 % men mindre enn full hydratisering. Før 75 % hydratisering overskrides tilsettes et bor-tverrbindingsmiddel. Etter tilsetting av bor-tverrbindingsmiddelet injiseres fluidet inn i brønnhullet for å stimulere hydrokarbonproduksjon. På grunn av at mindre tid kreves for hydratisering blir brønnseteblandeutstyr dimensjonert mindre for å oppnå bedre effektivitet og omkostningsbesparelser.
