Abstract
Oppfinnelsen tilveiebringer en fremgangsmåte for frernstilling av et sartan-derivat med formel (I): hvori R = C2-C7 rettkjedet eller forgrenet alkyl eller C3-C9-sykloalkyl, eller et farmasøytisk akseptabelt salt derav, omfattende trinnet klorering og redusering, i hvilken som helst rekkefølge, av en forbindelse med formel (III): hvori R er definert som ovenfor under dannelse av en forbindelse med formel (VI), hvori R er definert som ovenfor, og deretter avbeskyttelse av nevnte forbindelse med formel (VI), hvilket gir sartanderivatet med formel (I), og eventuelt omdannelse av nevnte sartan-derivat til et av dets farmasøytisk akseptable salter. En foretrukken utførelsesform av denne oppfinnelse er en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av losartan og særlig dets kaliumsalt.
