Det beskrives rekombinante DNA'er omfattende cDNA av genomisk RNA av et Salmonidae a-virus som foregåes av en spacersekvens, under kontroll av en egnet promoter. Disse DNA'er er brukbare for å oppnå ekspresjonsvektorer, fremstilling av Salmonidae ?-virus og for å oppnå vaksiner.
