Abstract
En kompakt katalytisk reaktor for Fischer-Tropsch syntese definerer et mangfold av første og andre strømningskanaler som er anordnet alternerende i reaktoren, for føring av henholdsvis en gassblanding som gjennomgår Fischer-Tropsch syntese og et kjølemiddel. Hver første strømningskanal inneholder en fjernbar gasspermeabel katalysatorstruktur som omfatter et metallsubstrat. Et mangfold av strømningsveier er definert gjennom katalysatorstrukturen, og hulromsfraksjonen, dvs. andelen av tverrsnittsarealet av den første strømningskanal som utgjøres av nevnte mangfold av strømningsveier, er mellom 25% og 75%. Dette tilveiebringer en optimal balanse mellom produktivitet og selektivitet, slik at drift av reaktoren kan være økonomisk og kontrollerbar.
