Abstract
Det er beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for firemstilling av et metall ved saltsmelte elektrolyse, hvor metallfiremstillingen utfiøres ved fylling av en elektrolysebeholder med en anode og en katode med et smeltet salt inneholdende et metallklorid. Denne fremgangsmåten er kjennetegnet ved bruk av et smeltet salt som reduserer løseligheten til metallet i det smeltede saltet.There is disclosed a process for forming a metal by salt-melt electrolysis, wherein the metal preparation is carried out by filling an electrolysis vessel with an anode and a cathode with a molten salt containing a metal chloride. This process is characterized by the use of a molten salt which reduces the solubility of the metal in the molten salt.
