Abstract

Det beskrives en fremgangsmåte for å sende streamet informasjon over et trådløst tele- og datakommunikasjonsnettverk, ved å sende streamet høyprioritert informasjon via et sikkert medium, mens lavprioritert data blir sendt over en standard kanal. Fremgangsmåten er en kombinasjon av to teknologier, MMS og streaming, for å garantere at videoklienten i mobilterminalen har tilgang til høyprioritert data ved riktig tidspunkt. Ved å anvende MMS som en initial melding for mediet. l meldingen kan hvilken som helt mengde høyprioritert informasjon vedlegges, for eksempel et antall 1-rammer. Videoklienten på denne måten har et forsprang på videodekodingen, og streaming-protokollen vil ha mer tid til å sikre at resten av dataene faktisk vil komme gjennom.
