Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en rørformet struktur så som et mantelrør (10), med indre og ytre røravsnitt (11, 13) med innbyrdes sampasning, og et mantelrør (10) fremstilt ifølge fremgangsmåten. Fordi det indre røravsnitt (11) blir ekspandert radielt til en tilstand med plastisk deformasjon og det ytre røravsnitt (13) blir radielt ekspandert slik at det underkastes en elastisk, men ikke en plastisk deformasjon, oppnås det en sampasning mellom det indre og ytre røravsnitt som følge av reststrekkspenning i det ytre røravsnitt (13) og restkompresjonsspenning i det indre røravsnitt (11). Fremgangsmåten kan også innbefatte tilveiebringelsen av en metallurgisk binding mellom de motliggende overflater i henholdsvis på de to røravsnitt (11, 13).A method of manufacturing a tubular structure such as a jacket pipe (10), with inner and outer pipe sections (11, 13) with mutual matching, and a jacket pipe (10) manufactured according to the method. The method comprises the following steps (a) placing two pipe sections in each other to thereby provide a device (15) with the inner pipe section (11) and the outer pipe section (13), (b) radially expanding a part of the inner pipe section (11) cooperating with the surrounding part of the outer pipe section (13) by means of an expansion tool (17), (c) continuing radial expansion of said part of the inner pipe section (11) so as to cause a plastic expansion of this part of the inner pipe section (13) and an elastic expansion of the surrounding part of the outer pipe section (13), and (d) repeating steps (b) and (c) for one or more further parts of the inner pipe section ( 11). Because the inner pipe section (11) is expanded radially to a state of plastic deformation and the outer pipe section (13) is radially expanded so that it is subjected to an elastic but not a plastic deformation, a mating fit between the inner and outer pipe sections is obtained which due to residual tensile stress in the outer pipe section (13) and residual compression stress in the inner pipe section (11). The method may also include the provision of a metallurgical bond between the opposite surfaces in the two pipe sections (11, 13), respectively.
