Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en fremgangsmåte for forvarming av et kar (1) som er utstyrt med anoder (10) og katoder (5) for aluminiumproduksjon ved elekttolyse. Fremgangsmåten omfatter et første trirm som gjermomføres før pulvertilførsel til karet når et lag av granulært ledende material er anbrakt og knust mellom anoder og katoder. Oppfirmelsen er kjermetegnet ved at det granulerte ledende material er grafitt-basert og at det knuste laget derav kun strekker seg ut i form av faste kontakter (13) på noe av toppoverflaten (14) til hver anode.
