Abstract
Production of titanium dioxide by the sulfate process involving decomposing titanium-containing raw material with sulfuric acid and filtering the decomposition residue in a membrane chamber filter press, is such that the residue-containing filter cake is neutralized in the press with a basic-reacting solution or suspension.
