Abstract
Det er beskrevet fremgangsmåter og anordninger for å minimalisere eller eliminere en uønsket, aksial elektrisk strøm indusert langs et undergrunns bore-hull i forbindelse med undergrunnsmålinger med sender- og/eller mottaker-antenner (Tx, Rx) som er hovedsakelig tidsvarierende magnetiske dipoler med sine dipolmomenter innrettet med en vinkel til borehullsaksen. Noen antenner (Tx, Rx) er anordnet inne i borehullet på instrumenter som har et ikke-ledende bæreorgan. En fremgangsmåte innbefatter å frembringe en alternativ bane for strømmene langs instrumentlegemet. En annen fremgangsmåte omfatter å sende ut en regulert strøm for å motvirke den uønskede strøm. En annen fremgangsmåte korrigerer for effektene av strømmen ved å bruke en overlagringsteknikk. En utføreisesform av instrumentet innbefatter en antenne (Tx) anbrakt mellom et par elektrisk koplede elektroder (E-i, E).
