Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av primæraluminium fra alumina, omfattende trinnet å omdanne alumina til aluminiumsulfid (A1S) og deretter å separere aluminium fra aluminiumsulfid, idet omdannelsen av alumina til aluminiumsulfid utføres ved å reagere alumina med CS-holdig gass ved en temperatur T, hvorved aluminaet i hovedsak foreligger som y-alumina.
