Abstract

The coupling unit comprises a tapping pipe for insertion in a vessel containing liquid, particularly a beer barrel, with a sealing plate having a ring of flexible material and thrust by a spring-loaded plate against the outside of the pipe. Unions for fluid discharge and for propellant gas are included, and a lever-operated hollow plunger acts against the flexible ring. A cone face on the spring-loaded plate (7), is provided applying force to the ring (10) in the direction of the tapping pipe (3).
