Abstract

The exchanger is typically for heating water by a hot gas, having several intermediate and two end sections joined together to form a passage for the commodity to be heated, each section containing hollow chamber with inlet and outlet ports and a heat-transfer surface. The intermediate sections (2) are connected to the end ones (1, 1') in a number of parallel sets. The end sections have, next to the feed and discharge ports (7, 8) for the commodity to be heated, the same number of orifices as there are sets of intermediate sections. The end sections can be identical, having two buspipes connected to the ports of the intermediate sections.
