Abstract

Bonding material for building elements, esp. prefabricated building elements of expanded silicate concrete consists of a mortar mixture of bonding agents, fillers, water, a water retaining agent and a wetting agent. The bonding material rapidly wets and bonds to building elements, and has such a consistency that it can be applied to a vertical surface. The building elements are firmly bonded. The water retaining agent is pref. methylcellulose, ethylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, benzylcellulose, CMC, or their alkali(ne earth) metal salts.
