Een Candlepad is een eenvoudig doch zeer effectief middel om kaarsen gecentreerd en ‘vast’ in een kandelaar te houden. De vorm van de Candlepad is een wiskundig figuur, gesneden uit 5 een flexibele stof, bekleed met een laag (aluminium/metaalfblie) die de brandbaarheid vertraagd om zo samen met de zitting van de kandelaar een kom te vormen.Uit hef Amerikaanse octrooi US 4 036 577 A is een candlepad bekend in de vorm van een dunne schijf van polyurethaan schuim dat is behandeld met branddovende chemicaliën.Daamaast is uit een oud Amerikaans octrooi US 1 647 898 een kruisvormige candlepad van metaal bekend 10 waarvan het oppervlak ruw is gemaakt of is geribbeld. De figuren zijn variabel en de afmetingen van de Candlepad kunnen variëren van 15mm tot en met 200mm met een dikte van 1,5 tot en met 20mm.De Candlepad is gemaakt van brandvertragende, synthetische fibers met quarts en wordt voorzien van een aluminium/mefaalfolie van 0.01 mm tot en met 0,2mm. (tekeningen 1 t/m 7).Het materiaal van de Candlepad is samendrukbaar (verend). De kleur van 15 de pad en de folie zijn in de reeks van: wit, groen, rood, geel, bruin, blauw oranje en elk tussenliggende schakering is mogelijLTekeningen, kant en klaar product om de werking duidelijk te illustreren (tekeningen 1 t/m 7).A Candlepad is a simple but very effective means to keep candles centered and "fixed" in a candlestick.
