Abstract

The cover of the duvet or bag is filled with non-removable synthetic insulating material, and contains a breathing cloth of material permeable to air and water-vapour, all seams being closed. The cloth is of unwoven plastics, containing microscopic apertures. All the seams in the cover are fused by a welding operation to give hermetic sealing. The filling is fused to the cover at several points. The apertures can be of less than 0.005 mm. in diameter. A further cloth of non-porous watertight plastic can also be included. The duvet can be in two filled sections joined together along one side and folding together to form a sleeping bag.
