Abstract

The machine is particularly for the twisted neck of a rubbish sack and round, which the tape (6) is placed. The neck is passed through a slot (8) in a housing (2) accommodating the roll (5) of tape and a spider wheel (10) with radial spokes, the recesses (11) between the latter accommodating the necks. Opposite the wheel is a lengthwise wall (12) leading to a tape-cutting mechanism (16-18). Each spoke has protrusions at opposite sides of its surface bearing against the tape and which fit round the guiding wall on opposite sides. The wall can be formed by a non-distorting portion of the housing, or alternatively by a spring component working permanently between the protrusions on the spokes. One or more of the latter at the side opposite to the slot can protrude between housing walls forming supports in the lateral direction.
