Abstract

The present invention concerns a water heater that is mainly electrically driven. In order to create a water heater with at least one cold-water intake and one hot-water outlet and a means of regulating the temperature and/or water quantity that operates more safely than an appliance in keeping with DE 296 15 925 Ul and can nevertheless function despite low water pressure and/or water throughput volume, as when the connection pipes have a very small diameter, with improved aeration of the outflowing jet of water ensured, it is proposed that the water heater (1) should be comprised of a jet or nozzle operating on the Venturi principle or a water-jet pump (6), the water-jet pump (6) on an air intake (8) having a one-way safety valve (7). This unit consisting of a water-jet pump (6) and a one-way safety valve (7) should preferably be installed on a hot-water outlet (3). A further aspect of the invention foresees a compressor integrated in the water heater that feeds air into the hydraulic system.
