Abstract

An indoor unit of a vertical air conditioner, comprising an air outlet and an air deflector (7), and further comprising a driving arrangement which is connected to the air deflector (7) and drives the air deflector (7) to be wholly pushed out or retracted in a translational manner, and the driving arrangement enables the air deflector to rotate; when the air conditioner is not in operation, the air deflector (7) completely covers an exit of the air outlet; and when the air conditioner is in operation, the air deflector (7) is wholly pushed out in a translational manner, so that the air deflector (7) is moved away from the exit of the air outlet, and the air deflector (7) can rotate to change the air output angl.
