Abstract

A nonwoven fabric (1A) of the invention is a nonwoven fabric including a plurality of fusion-bonded portions (12) formed by fusion-bonding constituent fibers (11) to each other at the intersection point thereof. The constituent fibers (11) include a high elongation fiber. When focusing on one of constituent fibers (11), the constituent fiber (11) includes, between the adjacent fusion-bonded portions (12, 12), a large-diameter portion (17) that has a large fiber diameter and is located between two small-diameter portions (16, 16) having a small fiber diameter. The degree of hydrophilicity of the small-diameter portion (16) is made smaller than the degree of hydrophilicity of the large-diameter portion (17).
