A GLASS FOR AN INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIA SUBSTRATE, WHICH COMPRISES, AS REPRESENTED BY MOL% BASED ON OXIDE, FROM 55 TO 75% OF SIO2, FROM 1 TO 12% OF A1203, FROM 2 TO 15% OF MGO, FROM 0 TO 1.5% OF CAO, FROM 1 TO 20% OF NA2O 10 AND/OR K20 AND FROM 0 TO 8% OF TIO2, WHEREIN IN A CASE WHERE BAO IS CONTAINED, ITS CONTENT IS AT MOST 2%, IN A CASE WHERE LI2O IS CONTAINED, ITS CONTENT IS AT MOST 1%, AND IN A CASE WHERE ZRO2 IS CONTAINED, ITS CONTENT IS AT MOST O.S%.
