Abstract
ATMOPHERIC RESIDUE OIL OBTAINED BY DISTILLATING FEED OIL IN AN ATMOSPHERIC DISTILLATION UNIT IS SUBJECT TO VACUUM DISTILLATION UNDER PREDETERMINED CONDITIONS IN A VACUUM DISTILLATION UNIT,RESULTING IN BEING DIVIDED INTO A LIGHT DISTILLATE OR LIGHT OIL AND VACUUM RESIDUE OIL. THE LIGHT DISTILLATE IS FED AS A FUEL TO A GAS TURBINE, SO THAT THE GAS TURBINE IS DRIVEN TO PERMIT POWER GENERATION TO TAKE PLACED IN A GAS TURBINE GENERATING SECTION. THE VACUUM RESIDUE OIL IS FED AS A HEAT SOURCE TO A BOILER SECTION OF A STEAM TURBINE GENERATING SECTION TOGETHER WITH HIGH-TEMPERATURE EXHAUST GAS OR FLUE GAS DISCHARGED FROM THE GAS TURBINE, WHICH GENERATES STEAM. THE STEAM THUS GENERATED DRIVES A STEAM TURBINE, SO THAT POWER GENERATION IS CARRIED OUT IN THE STEAM TURBINE GENERATING SECTION.
