Abstract

Se describe un metodo para producir anhidrido maleico por medio de oxidacion en fase gaseosa con catalisis heterogenea de n-butano con gases que contienen oxigeno sobre un catalizador que contiene vanadio, fosforo, y oxigeno en una unidad reactor a una temperatura que abarca entre 350 y 500??C, en donde el anhidrido maleico obtenido se aisla mientras se forma un flujo gaseoso que contiene n-butano sin reaccionar y agua, y por lo menos algo del n-butano sin reaccionar se recircula a la unidad reactor. De acuerdo con el metodo inventivo, un flujo de entrada que tiene una concentracion de n-butano de 0.5 a 1.5% en volumen y una concentracion de oxigeno de 5 a 21% en volumen se alimenta a la unidad reactor mientras se ajusta una presion de 0.4 a 2 MPa abs en la entrada de la unidad reactor y reacciona de 40 a 100% del n-butano del flujo de entrada por ciclo del reactor.
