Abstract

Pack for medicines or other products in capsules or pills characterised in that it consists of a box of a material and manufacturing process which defines that one of the interior faces, which constitutes the box, or two of them house the capsules or pills in similar form to blisters and the interior faces are possibly printed with the directions for use and contraindications or other information of interest to the user and the external ones are printed with information on the manufacturer, trade mark, etc.

Description

PACKAGE FOR MEDICATIONS IN CAPSULE, PILLS OR SIMILAR Technical area The present invention patent application refers to packaging boxes for medicaments in the form of capsules, pills or the like, of the type known as blisters and to the process of their manufacture.
Antecedents Currently there is widespread use of so-called blisters that house capsules and / or pellets in a thermoformed sheet or a similar process that forms in a sheet of suitable material a plurality of cavities where the capsules or pills are housed and then the sheet provided is covered of said housings (cavities) with another sheet that hermetically closes the same with the capsules or tablets inside it.
These blisters are in some cases marketed as described and in other cases they are sold placing them in a cardboard box which also includes the package leaflet of instructions for use, contraindications and other data. On the outside of the box, the name of the medicine, the brand, the laboratory, resolution of approval by the competent body, etc. are printed.
Description The packaging form of the prior art known and so widespread use has a series of drawbacks that are discussed below: - Possibility of altering the contents of a blister box either by removing a blister or by fractioning the blister by removing a blister section of it (with some capsules or pills) with a cutting element. In the first case, the blister stolen from the box reaches the final consumer without the instructions for use included in the package leaflet.
- In the case of the commercialization of blister packs without a box, the storage difficulty with regard to the boxed blister is presented, since the shape of this makes it possible to place one over another without losing the identification that can be seen laterally in the box and not so in the individual or partial blisters.
The proposed packaging consists of a box that is manufactured as follows: - Formation, in the appropriate foreseen zone, of the housing cavities of the capsules or tablets by means of thermoforming or other equivalent procedures. - Location of the pads in the respective cavities. - Cemented by means of a sheet on the aforementioned material enclosing the tablets. - Perimeter cutting with a shear. - Formation of the box from the previous step by appropriate machine and closure of the same.
The container that is proposed, externally, may include the same information as conventional boxes.
In addition, the proposed packaging, possibly on one of the internal faces, may include in printed form the instructions for use that are generally presented in a separate paper. The main sheet in which the thermoforming is applied, in case of being a transparent material, allows the user to see the instructions for use printed on the reverse of the outer sheet. In said sheet in the area corresponding to the exterior of the container, the manufacturer's data, trademark, approval resolution of the medicine by the competent body are printed.
At each internal angle of one of the larger faces of the box is provided with projections in conjugate position to the cavities located in that area but on the inside face of the other major face, having the purpose those projections to avoid the relative movement itself of the parts of the box and provide greater stability to the container.
At the same time as the capsules are always inside the box, it is not necessary to use special materials for the protection of some types of light sensitive medicines. However, in the case of using a container in which the smaller side walls have been removed and the dimensions of the anterior side wall (closure area) have been reduced, this produces that light from the outside inside the container can penetrate. In certain light sensitive medicines this effect may affect the properties of the capsules or pills. In these particular cases a suitable material is used for the thermoforming of the container that houses the capsules or tablets that have light protections.
Drawings For the purpose of facilitating the understanding of the description made, two preferential examples are attached.
Example 1: Container with side walls FIG. 1. Initial sheet in which the cavities for housing the capsules or pills will be made.
FIG. 2. Previous sheet in which the referred cavities have been made.
FIG. 3. Previous lamina where the pills housed in the respective cavities can be seen.
FIG. 4. Relative position of the anterior sheet with the sealing foil possibly printed on the outside with the data inherent to the pads and the manufacturer and on the reverse, instructions for use and contraindications.
FIG. 5. Set of sheets that make up the blister and where the possible impressions corresponding to the inside and outside of the box are appreciated.
FIG. 6. The set of sheets of F5 where the perimeter cut has been made and the bending lines can be seen for the subsequent assembly of the box.
FIG. 7. Armored box semi-open where you can see the blister with the capsules, with internal and external printed.
Example 2: Container without side walls FIG. 8. Sheet of suitable material in which the referred cavities have been made. Said sheet may have light protection, in case required by the product to be packaged.
FIG. 9. Anterior sheet where the tablets housed in the respective cavities (7) and the projections (6) of which one of the larger faces (5) is provided. Said projections are in conjugate position to the cavities located in that zone but on the inside face of the other major face.
FIG. 10. Relative position of the anterior sheet with the sealing foil, possibly printed with the data inherent to the pads and the manufacturer on the outside and the instructions for use and contraindications on the reverse of it.
FIG. 11. Armored box semi-open where the partial anterior side wall (1) and the section (2) that forms the closing mechanism can be seen.
FIG. 12. Semi-closed armed box, where the mechanism of closure of the container (3) formed by section (2) located above a larger face (4) can be seen.

Claims (4)

1. - Container for medicines or other products in tablets or capsules characterized by consisting of a box of a material and manufacturing process that determines that one of the inside faces, which constitutes the box, or two of them house the pills or the capsules in shape similar to blisters, and having a closure system consisting of an extension connected along a bend line to one of the major sides of said face and having a second interior face, characterized by projections to provide stability with respect to movements Relative between the parts of the box, which consist of a projection in each of the angles of the second inner face, said projections are in a position conjugated to the cavities located in the corresponding areas.
2. - Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that the box on its inside faces has printed the corresponding instructions for use and contraindications.
3. - Packaging according to claims 1 and 2 characterized in that the suitable thermoforming material that houses the capsules or tablets can be provided with light protections from outside, as required by the products to be packaged.
4. - Procedure for the manufacture of containers according to the previous claims characterized by consisting of: Formation, in the appropriate foreseen zone, of the housing cavities of the capsules or tablets by means of thermoforming or other equivalent procedures. Location of the pads in the respective cavities. Cemented by means of a sheet on the aforementioned material enclosing the tablets. Perimeter cut by a cutting. Formation of the box starting from the previous step by means of a suitable machine and closing it.
