Abstract

La presente invencion se refiere al aislamiento y caracterizacion de cuatro proteinas principales derivadas del Virus de Sindrome de Mancha Blanca (WSSV) que tienen un tamano estimado de 28 kDa (VP28), 26 kDa (VP26), 24 kDa (VP24) y 19 kDa (VP19) y su uso en la elaboracion de una vacuna para proteger los crustaceos contra infecciones con WSSV. La invencion proporciona ademas las secuencias de nucleotidos que codifican dichas proteinas y su uso en produccion recombinante de dichas proteinas. Ademas, la invencion proporciona los anticuerpos producidos contra dichas proteinas, su uso en la vacunacion pasiva y equipos de diagnostico que comprenden dichos acidos nucleicos o dichos anticuerpos.
