Abstract

La presente invencion esta dirigida a una composicion de recubrimiento particularmente util como un recubrimiento transparente aplicado sobre un recubrimiento base pigmentado, en donde el recubrimiento transparente tiene resistencia mejorada al desgaste y al ataque quimico por acido cuando se expone a condiciones de accion corrosiva naturales. El recubrimiento transparente es particularmente util como un recubrimiento transparente de OEM automotriz o como un recubrimiento transparente de acabado nuevo. El recubrimiento tiene dos componentes. El Componente A de la composicion de recubrimiento incluye una melamina y un polimero de acrilosilano de una mezcla de monomeros polimerizados, que incluyen un metacrilato de alquilo, un acrilato de alquilo, metacrilato de alquilo cicloalifatico, acrilato de alquilo cicloalifatico, estireno o cualquier mezcla de estos monomeros; metacrilato de hidroxialquilo, acrilato de hidroxialquilo o cualesquiera mezclas de estos monomeros; y un monomero de silano mono-etilenicamente insaturado. El Componente B de la composicion incluye un poliisocianato organico como un agente de reticulacion.
