Abstract
Described are a method, a system and an apparatus for measuring the volume of a liquid contained in a tank. The system includes one or a plurality of magnetic field sensors for sensing the variation of a control magnetic field produced by a control magnet with angular movement; said control magnet is magnetically coupled to an adjacent magnetic means with angular movement located in the tank. The angular movement of the control magnet is generated by the angular movement of the adjacent magnetic means with regard to the volume of the liquid contained in the tank. The invention further comprises means for transforming the variation of the control magnetic field into a digital signal including the information of the control magnet angular position; means for transforming the information of the control magnet angular position into a volume measuring information of the liquid contained in the tank; as well as means for displaying the information of the measured volume.
