Abstract

La invencion pertenece a las mezclas acuosas de polímeros dispersados coloidalmente para usarse en la manufactura de recubrimientos orgánicos, los cuales son duros y ductiles a temperatura ambiente, recubrimientos los cuales permanecen rígidos y elásticos a temperaturas muy por encima de la temperatura de formacion de película o secado. En particular, la invencion se relaciona con combinaciones específicas o mezclas termoplásticas de polímeros de pesos moleculares muy altos. Tales mezclas producen recubrimientos uniformes, esencialmente libres de grietas o hendiduras cuando se seca convencionalmente bajo presion atmosférica. Tales mezclas son capaces de desarrollar el equilibrio deseado de propiedades sin cantidades convencionales de adyuvantes de coalescencia orgánicos volátiles y sin la necesidad de curado químico.
