Abstract

Se describen compuestos de union de amiloides que son derivados de composiciones farmacéuticas que contienen Crisamina G y métodos que usan dichos compuestos para identificar in vivo el cerebro con Alzheimer y para diagnosticar otras condiciones patologicas caracterizadas por amiloidosis, tales como Síndrome de Down. También se describen composiciones farmacéuticas que contienen Crisamina G y derivados de las mismas y métodos que usan dichas composiciones para evitar la degeneracion celular y la toxicidad inducida por amiloides en condiciones asociadas con amiloidosis. Así mismo, se describen métodos que usan derivados de Crisamina G para teñir o detectar depositos de amiloides en tejido de biopsia o ya muerto. También se describen métodos que usan derivados de crisamina G para cuantificar depositos que usan derivados de Crisamina G para cuantificar depositos de amiloides en homogenatos de tejido de biopsia y ya muerto.
