Abstract

Se describen mezclas físicas vulcanizables que contienen un copolímero halogenado de una isomonoolefina C4-C7 y para-alquilestireno mezclado con uno o mas polímeros elastoméricos olefínicamente insaturados. El curado es efectuado de preferencia usando estearato de zinc como curador a niveles inferiores a alrededor de 3.0 PHR, lo que da lugar a vulcanizados que tienen adicion interpolimérica selectiva de halogeno bencílico presente en el copolímero halogenado al enlace doble del polímero insaturado sin que tenga lugar auto-curado significativo del polímero halogenado.
