Abstract

Los peroles y calderos usados en el procedimiento de metales y aleaciones fundidos contienen frecuentemente forros tanto permanentes como desechables; el forro actua como una barrera térmica y química para proteger al forro permanente; sin embargo, la presencia de álcali en el forro desechable de como resultado una tendencia a unirse al forro permanente, dificultando la remocion del forro desechable; la presente invencion provee un material de forro desechable que comprende: un agregado refractaria básico que comprende magnesia, magnesita, olivina, dolomita, calcia o mezclas de los mismos, por lo menos un material de reduccion de densidad que comprende microesferas de cerámica huecas en un cantidad suficiente para reducir la densidad de la composicion.
