Abstract

The invention relates to a metal surface coated with a thermoplastic polymer and comprising at least one adhesive arranged between the metal surface and the thermoplastic polymer, said adhesive having a VICAT point lower than or at the most substantially equal to the possible heating temperature of the metal surface. In an alternative, an epoxy resin is added between the metal and the adhesive. It is particularly useful for the external surfaces of tubes which cannot be heated to a temperature exceeding 55-70 degree C. The adhesive is preferably a copolymer ethylen/alkyl (meth)acrylate/maleic anhydride.
