Abstract

Método mejorado para la recuperacion de plomo de acumuladores de plomo conácido extinguido comprendiendo el retiro desde el acumulador de la solucion de ácido sulfurico de las partes restantes y de los separadores puestos entre los electrodos y de la parte metálica entre los electrodos como también el molido de las partes restantes del acumulador para obtener un polvo muy fino (pasta), caracterizado por las siguientes operaciones a) tratamiento del polvo resultante con una solucion acuosa salida a un pH entre 0 y 8, capaz de solubilizar el sulfato y el oxido de Pb (II) dejando insoluto el oxido de Pb (IV); b) reduccion a plomo metálico de los iones de plomo bivalente, presentes en la fraccion soluble, con hierro metálico, preferiblemente en un exceso ligero con respecto a las proporciones estequiométricas; c) reduccion del oxido de plomo tetravalente; y d) recuperacion de las sales utilizadas en el estadio del proceso a) para la eliminacion del sulfato de hierro formado.
