Abstract
Este procedimiento permite la eliminacion de contaminantes del oxido waelz (cloro, sodio, potasio, azufre y fluor principalmente), mediante su tratamiento hidrometalurgico en las siguientes etapas: lixiviacion con carbonato sodico en medio acuoso alcalino, en caliente; separacion solido-líquido del efluente y el material solido; purificacion del efluente mediante la eliminacion de los metales pesados y opcionalmente, los aniones no deseados; lavado con agua del material solido obtenido tras la lixiviacion sodica; separacion solido-líquido del agua y del oxido waelz depurado; recirculacion y calentamiento del efluente obtenido en el lavado para su reautilizacion en la lixiviacion sodica.
